At rainbow's end ( with Jon )

Poetry - Break-up
glitter bugs never failed
and even though the torn smiles
portrayed thoughtless acts of
shooting stars grazing my hands again
I almost blinked into repetition.

they burn, my scorched skin as
a canvass, pure white, against golden embers,
pain and pleasure divine. i am lost
in this yearning. i have to suffice.

blue horizons folding
holding my hands again
I closed the window that laughed
at my pain; and I printed on the
dotted line that got signed
in its own blood from innocence served.

this is where i go from,
the stairs may seem long,
spiral in its nature,
there is a door at the end,
the rainbow may seem grey,
yet a closer look would prove
otherwise.

and maybe we'll see if imaginary tales exist for us
or if we are just broken particles of dust waiting
to be recognized by the dead that seemed to get
lost along the way; and maybe, just maybe
everything in the end will be ok
